Description
Labudovo Okno is the place where the agricultural plain of Deliblato meets the Danube river near the Romanian - Serbian border. Because of the building of Djerdap Dam, Danube has flooded surrounding Stevan’s Plains (Serbian: Stevanove ravnice) and made perfect habitat for gathering of birds. Here you can see all kinds of waterfowl species, mainly at winter time. Elmabaş patka, Tepeli patka, Altıngöz, Karabaş patka and Kulaklı batağan are regular species that gather at winter time. There are also quite many geese that gather here, mainly Boz kaz and Sakarca.
During spring migration there are few species of gulls and terns, some other birds like İbibik, Akkuyruklu kartal, Sakarmeke, Yeşilbaş and Kilkuyruk. During fall migration there are many small birds migrating through here, species like Grey-headed Wagtail (thunbergi), Sarı mukallit, Kındıra kamışçını, Saz Kamışçını and Benekli sinekkapan. Also there are migrating raptors like Balık kartalı and Arı Şahini.

Labudovo okno is only accessible by car. Getting there on foot is hard and you need to know environment. Always stick to established tracks and respect wildlife!
