The mouth of the Vale Vaqueiro stream is one of the richest areas in avifauna in the central Portugal area. 180 bird species have been recorded here. Among the birds you can encounter are Bıldırcın, Kızıl Keklik, Sarıasma, Arıkuşu, Kukumav, Bozkır örümcekkuşu, İberya Çıvgını, Kara leylek, Leylek, Endülüs Ebabili, Balık kartalı, Üveyik and Mumgaga.
