Description
During the spring many waterbirds breed in the Ruda Fishponds Grebes such as Küçük batağan, Bahri and Kızılboyunlu batağan. During migration many ducks can be seen, most interesting: Kilkuyruk, Kaşıkgaga, Boz ördek, Çıkrıkçın and Çamurcun, and sometimes others. Yalıçapkını can be seen every time on the river flowing through the complex. In the reeds you can hear and see Bıyıklı baştankara, Büyük kamışçın, Çulhakuşu, Saz Kamışçını and various other species of warblers. In the sky raptors such as Akkuyruklu kartal, Şahin, Atmaca and Çakýr. Various songbird species live in the nearby forest as well. During the migration plenty of shorebirds stop by. Yeşilbacak, Orman düdükçünü, Su çulluğu, Döşüşkenkuş, Yeşil düdükçün and Dere düdükçünü being the most common ones.

One small parking spot behind the bridge on the river. Click on the P in the map for directions. Don't wander of the paths as it's a privately owned area. The area can only be visited on foot. The circular route indicated on the map is about 5 km.
