Description

The Marconi Kwelder is a new salt marsh that has been created in the tidal area near the coast of Delfzijl. A bird breeding island has also been created. In the background you can see the port area of ​​Delfzijl. Around the salt marsh you will encounter many species of wading birds.

Nederlands: De Marconi Kwelder is een nieuwe kwelder die is aangelegd in het getijdengebied bij de kust van Delfzijl. Er is ook een vogelbroedeiland aangelegd. Op de achtergrond zie je het havengebied van Delfzijl. Rondom de kwelder kom je met name vele soorten steltlopers tegen.

Access

The Marconi Kwelder can be reached via the eastern harbour quay in the harbour of Delfzijl. The area is accessible on foot, by bike and by car. The train and bus station of Delfzijl is only a fifteen minute walk away.

Nederlands: De Marconi Kwelder is te bereiken via de havenkade oost in de haven van Delfzijl. Druk op P in de kaart voor een routebschrijving. Het gebied is bereikbaar te voet, per fiets, per auto en tevens is het trein- en busstation van Delfzijl slechts op een kwartier lopen.
