The Kraanlannen has varying water levels. High in winter and lower in summer. As a result, in the spring there are many types of waders on the muddy grounds, some of which also start breeding. including Kılıçgaga, Küçük halkalı cılıbıt, Sumru and Karabağ martı. Songbirds also start breeding there: Mavigerdan, Bataklık Kamışçını, Saz Kamışçını. In winter many species of ducks and geese can be seen in the area. And flying past are Şahin, Saz delicesi and Gök doðan.

In de winter hoog en in de zomer lager. Hierdoor zitten in het voorjaar op de slikkige gronden vele soorten steltlopers waarvan een aantal ook gaan broeden. o.a.
