Description
The Autrichepolder is a recently constructed water and marshland. From the canal dike you have a beautiful view over the area. It can be very rich in birds with large numbers of ducks and geese: Yeşilbaş, Suna, Kaşıkgaga, Boz ördek, Çamurcun, Tepeli patka, Boz kaz, Kanada Kazı and in winter Sakarca and Tundra kazi. Waders and meadow birds also know how to find the area, such as Su çulluğu, Kızkuşu, Poyrazkuşu, Kılıçgaga, Kızılbacak and occasionally Küçük halkalı cılıbıt. In the summer you have a chance to see Karaboyunlu batağan Karaboyunlu bataðan.

Nederlands: De Autrichepolder is een recent aangelegde water- en moeraspartij. In 2002 is het natuurgebied aangelegd. Het gebied staat onder sterke invloed van kwel uit het kanaal van Gent naar Terneuzen. Vanaf de kanaaldijk heb je een prachtig zicht over het gebied. Het kan er zéér vogelrijk zijn met grote aantallen eenden en ganzen: Yeşilbaş, Suna, Kaşıkgaga, Boz ördek, Çamurcun, Tepeli patka, Boz kaz, Kanada Kazı en in de winter Sakarca en Tundra kazi. Ook steltklopers en weidevogels weten het gebied te vinden zoals Su çulluğu, Kızkuşu, Poyrazkuşu, Kılıçgaga, Kızılbacak en een enkele keer Küçük halkalı cılıbıt. In de zomer heb je kans om Karaboyunlu batağan Karaboyunlu bataðan te zien.
