Description
The Rusen ponds cover a large area of reedbeds, open and closed ponds and Salix bushes and trees. In the main pond (nr 1) a colony of Karabağ martı also harbouring Kara sumru , along with them Bıyıklı Sumru, Akkanatlı sumru and Hazar sumrusu can be seen.
Also living in the ponds Küçük batağan and Karaboyunlu batağan Karaboyunlu bataðan together with a good variety of ducks such as Kaşıkgaga and Çıkrıkçın. From the reedbeds Balaban, Bataklık Kamışçını and Büyük kamışçın can be heard together with Bıyıklı baştankara and Çulhakuşu.
You move through the area on top of the banks and there are a good number of roads to explore the site.
