Description
Part of the area belongs to a public park, while the rest is private (and not well kept). Still, it is possible to walk all around the lake (around 45 minutes + birding stops). There is a roost of Sığır balıkçılı, a feral small population of Kanada Kazı and recently some Küçük Karabatak. In the last years, wintering birds have included Siskin, Bataklık kirazkuşu, Dağ Bülbülü and Çulhakuşu. Other nice birds are Küçük balaban, Yalıçapkını and Sarıasma. During spring migration several passerine birds stop for a few days, including Küçük Ak Gerdanlı Ötleğen, Benekli sinekkapan and Kara sinekkapan. Rarities are possible (Collared flycatcher in 2018).
On sunny weekends a lot of people visit the area, so expect disturbance.
