Windy and sandy shore near Catanzaro Lido, with dunes and Castaci Creek mouth.
The dunes of Giovino are just at the end of the Giovino promenade, between the sea and a pine grove. Walking along the dune you arrive at the Castaci's mouth, which has a small pond before ending in the sea. This variety of environments is home to resident birds and a stopover for migrants. Furthermore, in the last years, it has been a nesting site for the Loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta) and it hosts the sea daffodil (Pancratium maritimum).

You can park at Giovino promenade and then access by foot to the dunes and the creek's mouth. Click on the P in the map for directions.
