Description
Diverse habitats offer a wide range of species within a small area close to Enniscorthy Town. River birds such as Yalıçapkını , Küçük batağan , Gri balýkçýl and Küçük ak balýkçýl can be seen regularly.
Alders along the first part of the trail often hold Karabaşlı iskete and Küçük Huş İsketesi in winter while the same season sees the flooded fields hold large flocks of Kızkuşu and Altın yağmurcun along with Çamurcun , Yeşilbaş and occasionally Fiyu. Spring migration can bring Dere düdükçünü and Kızılbacak.
Further along the trail, the scrub holds Taşkuşu whilst the woods nearby have Şahin and Alakarga.
The first section up until the bridge is wheelchair accessible and most species should be viable from this stretch.
It is also worth taking a look at the river area both between and a little beyond the two bridges in the centre of Enniscorthy town for Dağ kuyruksallayanı, Derekuşu, Gri balýkçýl and gulls, at low tide.
Otters and grey seals (at high tide) are both seen regularly even close to the town.

Access
In Enniscorthy, park in the car park next to the children's playground near the Riverside Hotel and follow the obvious riverside path. The alders along this first stretch should be investigated for finches in winter. Just before the bridge over the tributary the area of scrub and woodland to the right following the Urrin tributary should be explored also - a Gece Balikçili was once seen along this tributary and the area is also good for Yalıçapkını and Benekli sinekkapan. The flooded fields are best viewed from the bridge and a telescope is useful.
The trail continues along the river through a scrubby area before finishing at an impassable flooded area, though there is access up into the woodland area when dry.
