Description
Designed to replicate various ecosystems, the National Botanical Garden of Iran features forests, wetlands, and meadows that attract a wide range of bird species. One of the ponds is a good place to see Gece Balikçili, Alaca Balikçil, Yalıçapkını and Karabağ martı. During the spring you can find Şikra, Sarıasma and different migrating warblers such as Karabağlı ötleğen and Ak Mukallit. In the winter, thrushes come to the garden, including Öter ardıç, Karagerdanlı ardıç and Kızıl ardıç.

The National Botanical Garden of Iran is situated just a few kilometers west of Tehran, making it easily accessible by metro. To get there, take the Tehran-Karaj Metro and exit at Iran-Khodro Station. From the station, you can either walk for about 35 minutes or take a taxi for a quicker trip. Exploring the entire garden on foot takes approximately 2 to 3 hours, allowing you to fully enjoy its diverse landscapes and rich biodiversity.
