Description
The boat trip in the Steingrímsfjörður starts with sailing around of the island of Grímsey. On the island you can see colonies of Usturagaga, Tepeli Karabatak, yaygın alk and Karaayaklı martı as well as thousands of deniz papağanı flying overhead. Also good chance to see Kutup Fırtınakuşu, Kara Alk, Pufla, Kutup sumrusu, Buz Dalgýcý and Kýzýlgerdanlý dalgýç. On a guided walk you can hike up to the lighthouse. With an estimated breeding colony of around 60,000 deniz papağanı, this is one of the few tours in Iceland where you actually get to walk the island and get a close look at the birds.
