Park the car at the southern side of Skala Katerinis/ Olympiaki Akti and follow the beach southwards. Species that can be found here are Tarla kirazkuşu, Kocagöz and Arıkuşu. Reaching the river mouth, species that can be expected are Uzunbacak, Gece Balikçili, Çeltikçi, Erguvani balýkçýl, Küçük Karabatak, Akdeniz Martısı and Incegagalı martı.
On the way back it might be worth to do a detour and follow the river upstream and after a while turn northwards.

Park in Skala Katerinis/ Olympiaki Akti and walk southwards. After visiting the river mouth, either turn back or follow the river upstream.
