Description
The lagoon is the 'waterlily lake' mentioned by Gerald Durrell in My Family and Other Animals. However it appeared lifeless on my September visit. The island has 3 beaches, accessible by car, and good scrub and heath habitat favoured by warblers, Tarla kirazkuşu, İshakkuşu and Üveyik. A pair of Kaya kartalý were hunting over the wooded hills on return journey to Roda. Other birds you can enconter are Kizil kirlangici, Ak Karınlı Ebabil, Kaya kırlangıcı, Bıyıklı Ötleğen, Maskeli Ötleğen and Ak Gözlü Ötleğen.
