A reservoir on the river Spree which gives home to plenty of waterfowl and in the surrounding woods passerines can be found.
In winter, the reservoir of Talsperre Spremberg is home to Ötücü kuğu, Altıngöz and different geese. In summer, waders and warblers breed there and in the surrounding woods different tits and Çalıkuşu can be found.
By public transport: The train from Cottbus to Zittau stops in Bagenz (per request) and Spremberg. Follow the sign; the hiking paths are well-marked. By bike: The cycle-paths on both sides of the reservoir are well-marked. By car: There are tourist areas on both sides of the reservoir near the dam. Follow the signs from Spremberg or Cottbus.
The camping area on the north-eastern side provides good access to the water, but there is a nudist area (FKK).
