Description

Rappenwört is often referred to as an island, as it is almost completey surrounded by water: a meander cutoff where the Rhine used to flow and the current, straightened course of the river. In addition to interesting birding habitats, there is also an outdoor swimming pool, a nature information centre and various canoeing clubs and restaurants. On the various lakes, ponds and backwaters you can see Kuğu, Yeşilbaş, Çamurcun, Sakarmeke, Bahri, Gri balýkçýl, Büyük ak balýkçýl and Karabatak.

The woodlands are also rich in birdlife, especially in spring and summer. A few of the highlight species include Sarıasma, Benekli sinekkapan, Küçük yeşil ağaçkakan and Ortanca Ağaçkakan. If the water levels of the pools are low enough to expose muddy fringes, then it is possible to see various resident and passage waders and ducks. Dere düdükçünü and Yeşil düdükçün and possibly Döşüşkenkuş and Çıkrıkçın.
