Description
The nature reserve of Rümlandteich und Methorstteich is a beautiful area to observe water and forest bird species. You can make larger and smaller walks via hiking trails. Both ponds are drained temporarily (especially in autumn/winter) and then offer particularly interesting observation opportunities (wading birds, wintering Dağ incirkuşu). Akkuyruklu kartal breed here and can be observed regularly. Balaban occasionally call in the reed belt of the Rümlandteich. In the adjacent forest areas, all species of woodpecker are found ( Kara ağaçkakan, Yeşil Ağaçkakan, Orman alaca ağaçkakanı, Ortanca Ağaçkakan and Küçük ağaçkakan), as well as Puhu, Delice doğan, Arı Şahini, Kara sinekkapan and, in some years, Küçük sinekkapan. In the winter months, many Ötücü kuğu often stay here during the day. Both bodies of water are also home to 200 Ötücü kuğu and Küçük Kuğu and up to 800 Sakarca and Tundra kazi. In the adjacent grassland you can observe Büyük örümcekkuşu, Gökçe delice and many geese in winter.
