Scrub and open mesobromium grasslands with typical breeding birds like Kızılsırtlı örümcekkuşu, Boyunçeviren, Çayır taşkuşu, Taşkuşu, Akgerdanlı ötleğen, and one of the most important Orman Toygarı population in northern Bavaria, as well as resting birds like Kır incirkuşu, Kuyrukkakan or Gökçe delice.

Access
The area is only accessable on foot. The circular walking trail you see on the map is about 4 km. You best get there by car, best parking at the water station next to the crossroad Oberlauter - Oberwohlsbach - Fornbach/Weißenbrunn.
For public transport you can take bus line 2 from Coburg to Oberlauter and leave at "Oberlauter Rathaus".
