Description

Jröne Meerke (little green sea) is a small park with a pond at the north-western edge of the city of Neuss. It contains the only Western European colony of Ak kazı. Depending on the season there are also numerous other waterfowl, such as Tepeli patka, Yeşilbaş, Boz ördek, Küçük batağan, Karabatak, Sutavuðu or Sakarmeke. There are many trees and a small forest in the park that host numerous songbirds, including Öter ardıç, Ökse ardıcı, Sıvacı, İspinoz, Saka, Florya, Kızılgerdan, Mavi Baştankara, Büyük baþtankara and many more. If you want to see the Ak kazı, you should come in the early morning or before sunset as the geese often go out to the surrounding fields for feeding.
