Description

Hörnumer Odde is a windswept, ever-changing sand dune and beach landscape at the southern tip of Sylt, Germany’s northernmost island. Wading and seabirds can be observed at Hörnumer Odde. Occasionally, rare bird species can also be spotted on the water.

Access

Hörnumer Odde is located on the southern tip of the island of Sylt. Access to the beach is possible on foot via paths. There are several entrances. Parking spaces are also available. Press P on the map for directions.

You can do a circular walk of about 5 km from Hörnum Harbor, taking about 2 hours. Check tide tables (see the link below). At high tide, parts of the trail may be submerged.
