Description
The Hollerner See is a 30-hectare quarry lake that was created on the site of a former gravel pit. Although the lake was only completed in 2019 and there are many bathers in the summer, many species of birds have settled there. Different species of ducks, Bahri, Küçük batağan and Boz kaz can be found on the lake. The geese use the lake as a breeding and moulting ground.
In spring and summer Büyük kamışçın, Saz Kamışçını, Bataklık kirazkuşu and Küçük balaban breed in the reeds on the shore. Küçük halkalı cılıbıt and Dere düdükçünü can often be seen on the small island. In the area around the lake you can see Sülün, Çilkeklik, Yeşil Ağaçkakan and Sarı kirazkuşu all year round. Çalı kamışçını, Sarı mukallit, Akgerdanlı ötleğen and Söğütbülbülü in the summer months.
