The Hemmelsdorfer See is a lake that has many different water birds, depending on the time of year. Breeding birds include Kuğu, Boz ördek, Sakarmeke and Bahri. Other birds that are observerd regularly are Yalıçapkını, Akkuyruklu kartal, Saz delicesi, Saz Kamışçını, Büyük kamışçın, Mavigerdan and Bıyıklı baştankara. During migration you can observe birds like Küçük martı, Balık kartalı, Kara sumru and Elmabaş patka.
Coolest one I've seen were Sütlabi in winter and I heard Sarıasma in the trees in summer. The boardwalk goes out into the lake and along the reeds. Also great spot for landscape photography.

Access
The Hemmelsdorfer See is located north of Lübeck in the immediate vicinity of the Baltic Sea. The restaurant has a small parking lot, in which you can get a spot very early in the morning. . Otherwise there is a free, public parking area available a little further down the road, which I marked as the trail head. Click on a P in the map for directions.
