Natural riparian forest on the river Isar with breeding population of Halkalı Sinekkapan.
The Freisinger Isarauen extend southeast of the city of Freising on both sides of the Isar. From the end of April to July, you can see Halkalı Sinekkapan, for which nest boxes are hung by the local LBV group. Other residents of the alluvial forest are woodpeckers such as Kara ağaçkakan, Küçük yeşil ağaçkakan and Ortanca Ağaçkakan. Büyük tarakdiş, Yalıçapkını and Derekuşu occur on the river Isar all year round.
The Freisinger Isarauen are located near Freising train station, where parking is also possible. Click on a P on the map for directions to a parking. From the train station you can easily explore the area on foot or by bike. The best observation opportunities are from the gravel paths on both bank sides of the Isar.
