Freiburg is a city worth a visit and the Rieselfeld is close enough to be compatible with a visit to the town. In the wet areas, you can find wetland-loving birds such as ducks, Su çulluğu, Orman düdükçünü, Büyük ak balýkçýl, Su kılavuzu, Kızkuşu and Gri balýkçýl. Other birds you can see in the surrounding area are Boyunçeviren, Guguk, Büyük örümcekkuşu, Kızıl Çaylak, Kara çaylak, Tarlakuşu, Kızılsırtlı örümcekkuşu, Taşkuşu and Akgerdanlı ötleğen. In the forest areas that are adjacent to the nature reserve breed Küçük ağaçkakan, Ortanca Ağaçkakan, Kara ağaçkakan, Sarıasma and Sıvacı.

It's a 5 minute walk from tram-station Bollerstaudenstraße (line 5) or bus stop Mundenhof (line 19). Also near these stations there is anough space for car-parking.
