Description

The typical species of a city can be seen at the Decksteiner Weiher in summer. On the lake Kanada Kazı, Nil kazi, Bahri and Yeşilbaş can be seen. Around the lake you can observe Yeşil Ağaçkakan, Saka, Ortanca Ağaçkakan and much more. In winter, however, more rare duck species such as Tepeli patka, Elmabaş patka, Boz ördek and with a bit of luck also Pasbaş Patka can be found.

Decksteiner Weiher is easy to reach by bike from Cologne (Köln). You can also get there easily by car. Click on a P in the map for directions to a parking. A circular walk around the lake is about 5 km.
