Description
Böhmerweiher consists of two lakes. The smaller lake supports Küçük batağan, Sutavuðu and Sakarmeke. Çamurcun overwinter here. The larger lake often attracts visiting waterfowl in the winter: Boz kaz, Boz ördek, Bahri, more rarely Fiyu, Suna or Büyük tarakdiş. Yalıçapkını fish in both ponds.
In the gravel areas and streams surrounding the lakes Sarı kirazkuşu and Söğütbülbülü sing from the bushes. Yeşil Ağaçkakan feed on the ants. Su kılavuzu skulks on the banks. Saz Kamışçını and Bataklık kirazkuşu populate the reeds in the spring and summer. Occasional visitors like the İbibik can surprise you by stopping to rest during their migration.
Su çulluğu sometimes forage in the wet fields surrounding Böhmerweiher. And sometimes Gök doðan hunt for prey.
