The Altes Feld (Old Field) near Dainrode was the largest Hessian resting place for Kızkuşu in the 1970s with daily maximums (resting population) of around 14,000. Up to 600 Altın yağmurcun. Rare Dag cılıbıtı. Large numbers of raptors, sometimes over 50 Kızıl Çaylak and 100 Şahin. The Paçalı şahin is an occasional migrant and winter guest. Altes Feld located near the village of Dainrode. The area is crossed by the B 253 and is very easy to reach. Driving on dirt roads is forbidden, but is probably never checked.
