Description
At the river Ahr are breeding Küçük halkalı cılıbıt and Yalıçapkını. In the floodplains are meadows, forests and a little reedbed. In the meadows are breeding Kukumav (10 territories in 2020). Kızılsırtlı örümcekkuşu and Çekirge Kamışçını are possible breeding birds. In the forests are breeding Bülbül , Sarıasma and Ortanca Ağaçkakan. You can also see Kara çaylak and Delice doğan during breeding time. In the little reedbed are Saz Kamışçını and Çalı kamışçını (also common next to the Ahr). Şarkıcı mukallit and Sarı mukallit can also be found in the area.
During migration, you can see migratory birds like Balık kartalı and Yeşil düdükçün. In winter you can see some wintering birds like Derekuşu.

Access
There is a train station in Linz (direct connections to Cologne and Koblenz), from where you have to cross the Rhine with the ferry to Kripp. Another train station is in Sinzig (direct connections to Bonn and Koblenz) from where you can go directly to the meadows at the southern edge of the area.
You can park in Kripp (follow the B9 until Kripp). The walking route you see on the map is about 7 km.
