Description
Neuvry is a very good spot for waterbirds, and also for local rarities. Akdeniz Martısı and Karabağ martı breed in small numbers, as do Macar ördeği , Tepeli patka and Karaboyunlu batağan Karaboyunlu bataðan. Sığır balıkçılı, Büyük ak balýkçýl and Küçük ak balýkçýl are all regular. Waders are quite common in stopover, especially Tringa sandpipers. Küçük su çulluğu winters in the area.
Küçük martı , Bıyıklı Sumru, Kara sumru and Balık kartalı are regular. This also a good place for ducks in migration period. Among the recent rarities are Bataklık düdükçünü , Alaca Balikçil , Telkuyruk , Kızılboyunlu batağan , Sarıbacaklı kumkuşu and Kutup sumrusu.

Access
The gravel pit is located directly north of the village of Neuvry. By car only (no train station around). You can go first to the western bird hide, and then walk along the eastern shore of the lake on the dirt road. Be careful, driving is forbidden on the dirt road around the lake, you're in a Natural Reserve, you may be fined. The circular walking route is about 4,5 km.
