The Plateau des Gras is home to an incredible wealth of species. Migrating, stopping over, nesting, or wintering. Birds that thrive in dry grasslands are very common. Protected plants, herpetofauna, and bats are also of interest. Access
The Gras de Balazuc area is accessible from Uzer or Balazuc. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. Interesting hikes and bike rides are possible. The circular walking route shown on the map is about 7 km. Easy to split in half. Note that the area is extremely touristy in the summer and also is extremely hot, so best to visit the area outside the summer season.
