Étang Turlet is located at the southern exit of the town of Villars-les-Dombes. The lake has mainly open shallow water with some scarce reedbeds and wet woodlands. On the northern bank of the lake is a bird hide. Among the bird you can observe are Boz ördek, Fiyu, Kilkuyruk, Macar ördeği, Tepeli patka, Elmabaş patka, Çamurcun, Çıkrıkçın, Kuğu, Erguvani balýkçýl, Leylek, Saz delicesi, Bıyıklı Sumru, Bahri, Küçük batağan and Karaboyunlu batağan Karaboyunlu bataðan.

Access
Étang Turlet is located south of the town of Villars-les-Dombes. You can park along the road close to the lake. Click on the P in the map for directions. From parking spot it is just a 100 m walk to the bird hide.
