Description

Étang des Grésillons is an excellent site at any time of year. During the nesting period, Suna, Kara çaylak, Kocagöz, Küçük halkalı cılıbıt, Küçük ağaçkakan, Üveyik, Kum kırlangıcı and Ağaç serçesi are the most interesting nesters, especially for the latter, which has its last Yvelinoise colony on the site. Many other species also nest, including Bahri and Küçük batağan, as well as Tepeli patka, Kızkuşu, Sarý kuyruksallayan, Ketenkuşu and Saka. Some species do not (apparently) nest, but are still present during the breeding season, such as the Delice doğan and the Büyük ak balýkçýl and Küçük ak balýkçýl.

During migration the site is also very interesting. Many rare or occasional species stay there, sometimes for several weeks. Kilkuyruk, Çıkrıkçın, Karaboyunlu batağan Karaboyunlu bataðan, Uzunbacak, Karakarınlı kumkuşu, Halkalı cılıbıt, Döşüşkenkuş, Orman düdükçünü and Gümüş martı are the most regular on the pond and its surroundings. But sometimes, you can come across a much rarer species: Tasçeviren, Kızıl kumkuşu and Küçük kumkuşu, Çeltikçi or even Küçük sumru are a few occasional species observed more and more annually.

In spring, inspecting the meadows and bushes will allow you to find Kındıra kamışçını, Çayır taşkuşu or Kuyrukkakan during a migratory stopover. In the autumn Balık kartalı and Kaşıkçı are observed rather regularly. And finally in winter, when the birds are not fleeing hunting, which is unfortunately allowed on the pond, there are numerous Fiyu, Kaşıkgaga, Boz ördek, Çamurcun which are observed there. Some Su çulluğu winter on the site, among the Karabağ martı roosts in which there is sometimes a Küçük gümüþ martý.
