Description
Vuosaaren Kartano and Nordsjö Manor attract a variety of birds throughout the year. There's a small forest like area right next to the park that provides shelter for wildlife and the Uutela forest is on the other side of the road, so you never know what birds can visit the park. During the hot summer months, local bird enthusiasts bring water to a dent on a big rock that has proven to be a popular pool for birds like Benekli sinekkapan, Mavi Baştankara, Kara sinekkapan, Ketenkuşu, Orman alaca ağaçkakanı, Büyük baþtankara, Serçe, Ağaç serçesi, İspinoz and Florya.
The trees and bushes in the area provide food and shelter for birds like Karabağlı ötleğen, Söğütbülbülü, Çıvgın, Orman tırmaşıkkuşu and Kızılgerdan. In autumn the parks multiple oak trees attract Alakarga and birders have spotted Aksırtlı ağaçkakan in the area during autumn as well. Some of the rarer bird sightings have been Kara kızılkuyruk and Çobanaldatan.
