Description
Uutela park has different forest types, marshes, rocks and shorelines within it. There's a lot of variety in bird species and it's a nice place to visit all year round. In spring and early summer it's possible to see and hear all kinds of singing birds: Sarı mukallit , Çıvgın , Söğütbülbülü , Guguk , Kuzey kamışçını , Ağaç incirkuşu , Akgerdanlı ötleğen , Küçük Ak Gerdanlı Ötleğen , Orman çıvgını, Kızılgerdan , İspinoz, Kara sinekkapan , Benekli sinekkapan , Küçük sinekkapan , Büyük baþtankara , Mavi Baştankara , Çam baştankarası , Çayır incirkuşu , Karabağlı ötleğen. You can spot migrating species as well. Thanks to the close proximity of the sea it's possible to spot a wide variety of both local and migrating sea birds by the shore too: Ötücü kuğu , Kuğu ,Büyük tarakdiş , Tarakdiş ,Tepeli patka , Altıngöz , Telkuyruk ,Pufla , Yeşilbaş , Dere düdükçünü , Akyanaklý kaz , Kanada Kazı and Gri balýkçýl.
The Uutela communal gardens located at the heart of the park is also a great spot for seeing birds. (Check out the gardens' own page on Birdingplaces for more details!) There are three active bird feeding spots in the park during winter time. Some have bird food all year round but they're especially nice in winter. The more common Büyük baþtankara , Mavi Baştankara , Çam baştankarası , Serçe and Ağaç serçesi are almost always present but if you're lucky you might spot Tepeli baştankara , dağ baştankarası and Çalıkuşu on them too. Sıvacı has been seen visiting one of the feeding spots during the summer too.
Çalıkuşu is a common even if sometimes hard to see species in the park all around the year. Karatavuk can also be seen almost all year round. During the autumn migration seasons it's also possible to see İpekkuyruk too.

Access
There are two parking places in the area. The park is best explored by walking. It is also possible to cycle in the forest. The main paths are wide and maintained and are therefore suitable for wheelchair users as well. Please be mindful of where you walk and cycle, though, as there are nature reserve areas that should be protected.
