Description
Sehel Island is a small island in the middle of the river Nile. The site is interesting for migratory birds. So the best time to visit is winter. Birds you can observe include Küçük Yeşil Arıkuşu, Nil nektarkuşu, Nil kazi, Mahmuzlu Kızkuşu, Karabatak, yeşil sırtlı balıkçıl, Alaca Yalıçapkını and Izmir Yalıçapkını.
Çöl kuyrukkakanı, Kara leylek and Küçük balaban have been observed during autumn migration.

Access
Sehel Island is located in the river Nile between the town of Aswan and the Aswan Dam. The only access to the island is by boat. The place where boats cross the Nile to the island is marked with a star.
