Description
Oldenor is the result a major nature restoration project. The lake has previously been drained and cultivated. In 1993, the drainage of the lake stopped and it quickly developed into an exciting natural area. Today, it is a breeding and resting place for a wide range of bird species. The lake and surrounding meadows and scrub forests attract many birds. At the path along the south side of Oldenor the rich bird life can be spotted. It's a somewhat hilly area with some excellent viewpoints along the way. Among the birds you can encounter are Kaşıkgaga, Elmabaş patka, Altıngöz, Büyük tarakdiş, Şakrak, Uzunkuyruklu baştankara, Atmaca, Sarı kirazkuşu and Bataklık kirazkuşu.

I will usually park at Hesnæsvej, just after the rowing club and then take Oldenorvej over the hill and across the old dam.
