A man-made lake near the town of Ghent with an island and some mudbanks.
A sand extraction pit that was decommisioned and is now a small nature reserve. The area features an island with breeding opportunities for shorebirds like Küçük halkalı cılıbıt and Sumru) and some steep walls for Kum kırlangıcı. Some areas are planted with berry trees (Prunus) which can attract migrant birds during migration.
Access through the norteastern end of the Rodehoedstraat (Gent) or through Leeuwenhof (Gent). There is one observation point (see trail on the map).
