Description
Only 15 km from Innsbruck, the Inzinger Gaisau is one of the last floodplains in the Inn Valley. It has ponds, woodlands, agricultural fields, wet meadows, reedbeds and borders the shores of the river Inn. This makes Inzinger Gaisau rich in habitats and therefore rich in birds.
Birds you can see here are Tarla ardıcı, Söğütbülbülü, Büyük tarakdiş, Yalıçapkını, Yeşil düdükçün, Sarı mukallit Karabağlı ötleğen, Küçük ağaçkakan and both Orman tırmaşıkkuşu and Bahçe Tırmaşıkkuşu and many species of tits. In winter sometimes you can encounter large flocks of Saka, Karabaşlı iskete, and in late winter Dağ ispinozu.
On the northern waters edge you have a good view on meadows and reedbeds. You can find Çayır taşkuşu here and with some luck Kara çaylak. On the pond you can see Küçük batağan and different kinds of ducks. Around the reedbeds check for Su kılavuzu, Bataklık kirazkuşu, Saz Kamışçını, Büyük kamışçın and Kındıra kamışçını.
