Description

Bielerhöhe is a pass between Tyrol and Vorarlberg at over 2000 meters above sea level. Many special birds from the Alps can be observed here. A good way to explore the area is, to go round the Silvretta-Stausee (reservoir). But there are many other hiking trails to explore.

Birds like Kaya kırlangıcı, Dağ incirkuşu, Kuyrukkakan or Küçük Huş İsketesi are common here. Other alpine species like Duvar Tırmaşık Kuşu, Sakallı akbaba, Kaya kartalý, Taşkızılı or Kar serçesi are regular but harder to find.

Access

There is a parking space at the pass. Click on the P in the map for directions. Public transport also reaches the starting point, but you always have to pay tolls. The area itself is best explored on foot. The best bus to go there from Montafon is Bus Nr. 650. Note that the High Alps Road is closed at least for the entire winter half of the year, so you can visit the spot mainly in summer.
