During spring and fall migration, this place always has many warbler species and other migrating passerines like Acadian Flycatcher and Scarlet Tanager. Additionally, the butterfly garden usually hosts Ruby-throated Hummingbird year round. Swallow-tailed Kite and Barred Owl are also known to nest in the park.
Past rarities at the site include Canada Warbler, Wilson's Warbler, Olive-sided Flycatcher, and Rufous Hummingbird.

Warbler Corner is a little section/trail among the trees in the south side of the park that is one of the better places for finding migrants. The big mulberry bush near the amphitheater and butterfly garden also often has various migrants, especially when it has berries in the fall. The creek can also sometimes have Northern Waterthrush or Wood Duck.
Orange Audubon Society hosts bird walks every Saturday in April and October.
