Extra information

In Spring the reserve becomes a departure lounge for migratory geese and swans as they head back home to their northern breeding grounds. The departing geese make way for one of Loch Leven's most visible arrivals - ladusvala and Fiskgjuse. A regular winter visitor is havsörn.

The visitor centre is open from 10am - 5pm daily (open until 4pm from Christmas Eve until New Year). Closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and 2 January.

Trails and hides open 24 hrs a day throughout the year. Café open 10 to 4 (lunch service until 3).
