Beskrivning
Located in the heart of the Somerset Levels and Moors, Greylake is a flat wetland with good paths and reedbed. Thanks to all the water, you can see tofsvipa, rödbena and enkelbeckasin nesting in the spring. Smaller birds such as sävsångare, gulärla and Sävsparv can be heard and seen singing from the trails.
Over winter, vast flocks of ducks and waders, being hunted by birds of prey. tofsvipa and ljungpipare are sometimes joined by kärrsnäppa, brushane and rödspov. Large flocks of bläsand, Kricka and smaller groups of Skedand, snatterand and stjärtand feed in front of the hides. Pilgrimsfalk and brun kärrhök are seen regularly and stenfalk and blå kärrhök occasionally.
