Beskrivning
The Coleridge Way long distance footpath, forms part of this route. The area once heavily wooded, due to clearance now more open, has many more common bird species, with the walk having two distinct habitats, the disused mineral railway line (now a narrow road) in the valley and the wooded, sometimes more open, almost moorland like footpath to the East.

The A39 (running East to West) is to the North of Roadwater, on this main road between Bilbrook (to the West) and the larger Washford (to the East) is a crossroads at Dragons Cross,. Turn South on minor road (called Lodge Rocks) that will eventually take you to the wooded village of Roadwater that has the Washford River running through it. BE AWARE there is NO car park for this site, so on street parking only (DO NOT BLOCK ACCESS), try a possible parking area near Village hall.
