From the bergand to the snowy white Vitvingad trut, the birds that can turn up at Hollowell Reservoir provide hours of birding. Other bird species you might spot include brednäbbad simsnäppa, kärrsnäppa, större strandpipare as well as gulärla, stenskvätta, svarthakad buskskvätta and skärpiplärka. And, if you are lucky, you may even spot Fiskgjuse and lärkfalk that regularly pay a visit. If you want to enjoy the birdwatching or walking opportunities at Hollowell Reservoir Nature Reserve, you can purchase a permit from the Pitsford Fishing Lodge on 01604 781350. Access to Hollowell Reservoir Nature Reserve is available for permit holders only. To enjoy the peace and tranquility of the site for either walking, birdwatching, fishing or sailing a permit is required.
