Visiting Börringe mad is easy. Park on the east side of the road and walk to the tables on the other side. The dam has shown to be good for dabbling ducks, such as årta and grebes especially Smådopping and gråhakedopping. Also some shorebirds rest here like brushane, plovers and Tringa waders. From the forest on the other side of the road woodpeckers and passerines can be seen and heard. The site is located in the middle of The Börringe region and also got its fair deal of rare birds, such as mindre skrikörn, större skrikörn, svart stork and kejsarörn.
