The area of Llanos de Calera y Chozas is good for steppe birds. In my case, I walk the road between Calera y Chozas and Puente del Arzobispo at dawn. I leave the car at the lane entrances. From there you can scan the area with the telescope. You can find stortrapp and småtrapp. Along with these birds vitbukig flyghöna, tjockfot and kalanderlärka. Various raptors and other more frequent birds. See the birdlist below.
