Laguna del Toro is a quiet and secluded place. If you travel on the highway you can take a break here and do some nice birding. Another way to access the lagoon is through the small town of Nueva Jarilla, along a dirt road. Among the birds you can see here are sothöna, rörhöna, rödvingad vadarsvala, sandtärna, brunand, tofslärka, medelhavstrut, Smådopping, turkduva, turturduva, gråhäger, bronsibis, mindre strandpipare.
