Due to the presence of shallow pools, the Vadu area is popular with waders such as myrsnäppa, styltlöpare, mosnäppa, småsnäppa, svartbent strandpipare and smalnäbbad simsnäppa. In spring and autumn it is a good place for migratory birds. But also in summer many marsh birds such as purpurhäger, bronsibis, skäggtärna, natthäger, brun kärrhök, mindre sumphöna and fältsångare are breeding in this area.
