Parque da Cidade do Porto is the biggest urban park in Portugal. There are three big lakes (and a small one) with water birds. But you can also see forest birds in the wooded areas too. Definitely the top spot for birding in Porto city. Among the birds you can see are kungsfiskare, Silkeshäger, Smådopping, sothöna, rörhöna, blåmes, svartmes, talgoxe and brandkronad kungsfågel. But many more, see the birdlist below. The most special bird of the park is enfärgad seglare that can be observed here.

Português: O Parque da cidade do Porto é, até aos dias de hoje, o maior parque urbano do País. Os seus 83 hectares de área são compostos por zonas de relvados, zonas arborizadas e quatro lagos. Inaugurado em 1993 a sua extensão em nada tinha a ver com a actual dimensão. O parque foi crescendo ao longo dos anos desde a sua inicial localização, que ainda hoje em dia se mantém como uma das “portas de entrada” e que se situa na Estrada Interior da Circunvalação, quase logo no seu início no sentido poente/nascente (entrada Norte), para a zona Sul e para a zona mais próxima ao mar. Essa expansão ficou completa em 2002 com a construção da frente marítima.
