The town of Fão is located directly on the Rio Cávado. If you don't have the time to spend on trailing trough the Estuário do Cávado (also described on Birdingplaces), this area is good for you because it is easy accessed, with a perfect view of some birds on the river banks.

The town of Fão is located directly on the Rio Cávado. To get there exit to Fão on A3 highway. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. From the parking you can explore the area on foot. There is a nice path along the river banks.
